The Spanish galleon San Jose, became on June 8, 1708 in the most valuable treasure sunk in history. The figures range between 10,000 and 17,000 million dollars. The cargo consisted of coins, gold and silver bars, jewels and precious stones. That is why Charles Wager, informed in detail of the galleon's route, intercepted it in the Rosario Islands, some thirty miles from the port of Cartagena.
