The New Avengers Tapestries

The New Avengers design celebrates the cult classic late 70's TV series starring Patrick Macnee, Gareth Hunt and Joanna Lumley. A sequel to the 1960's hit series The Avengers, The New Avengers picks up the tale of the adventures of John Steed, a secret agent working for an unnamed branch of British Intelligence. The show ran for a total of 26 episodes across two series.

Hydra is a fictional terrorist organization appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The name "Hydra" is a reference to the mythical Lernaean Hydra. The organization's motto references the myth of the Hydra, stating that "If a head is cut off, two more shall take its place", proclaiming their resilience and growing strength in the face of resistance. Hydra agents often wear distinctive green garb featuring a serpent motif.

I absolutely love the artwork of Marc Silvestri and this piece is heavily inspired by his work on The Darkness comic. This is The Darkness style mixed with the new Black Panther.
