Cherish meals with loved ones. Go for brisk walks around your neighborhood or simply throw a ball to get the juices flowing. That short story or novel that's been a splinter in your mind like forever--write it. The key is to keep busy and short-term goals. Do refrain from sitting at the edge of the bed in the same pjs all week, and, absolutely no standing in front of windows, transfixed with your mouth agape. Stick to this simple guideline and we'll be fine. Oh and make sure to always wear a nice, comfy pair of running shoes. ~ Dan Torrance

The Shining is a 1980 horror film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick and co-written with novelist Diane Johnson. The film is based on Stephen King's 1977 novel of the same name and stars Jack Nicholson, Danny Lloyd, Shelley Duvall, and Scatman Crothers. Nicholson plays Jack Torrance, a writer and recovering alcoholic who accepts a new position as the off-season caretaker of the Overlook Hotel.
