Isla Nublar is a fictional Central American island in the Jurassic Park franchise, first depicted in Michael Crichton's eponymous 1990 novel. It is the primary setting of the 1993 film Jurassic Park, Jurassic World (2015) and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018). Both the novel and film versions of the Jurassic Park theme park are located on Isla Nublar off the west coast of Costa Rica, which has leased the island to John Hammond, the CEO of fictional bio-engineering firm InGen.

Isla Nublar was a remote island 120 miles west of Costa Rica and 87 miles east of the Muertes Archipelago. The island has a surface of 77 square kilometers with mountain ridges which created varied ecological niches. The island was intended to be the site of Jurassic Park, a tourist attraction featuring living biological dinosaurs cloned from prehistoric DNA. However, the park was closed and abandoned before it could open due to multiple containment breaches in 1993, but was later reclaimed and successfully served as the site of a new tourist park, Jurassic World.
