The Federal Chief has decided that Cuthbert is to go on a mission of plunder against the Moronian's Solar System. Cuthbert lands his spacecraft on each planet but then has to refuel by stealing pods from the Moronian fuel dumps whilst avoiding the Solar Meteoroid Barrage. After filling up he goes and plunders as much loot as possible before take-off. All could go well but when he gets a malfunction he must send a pilotless suttle to obtain spares and take-off before the Moronian's bomb detonates.

Cuthbert in the Mines is a 1984 computer game for the Dragon 32 home computer. Written by Microdeal, the game features the hero Cuthbert, a character who also appeared in Cuthbert Goes Walkabout and Cuthbert Goes Digging.

Forget WarGames and the IMSAI 8080. Your Color Computer 3 has taken over at NASA! There's quite a few Easter Eggs in here, and it's been so long since I created this I'm not even sure I remember them all.

After finding that computer game publishers were not interested in his first game, war game enthusiast Joel Billings launched his own company to publish and distribute his computer titles in 1979. Calling his new venture Strategic Simulations, Inc. (SSI), it didn't take long before Billings' company was the dominant force in computer war games. Throughout the '80s and into the early 1990s, SSI was holding its own against the publishers that once turned down Billings' games. The mid-'80s saw SSI began licensing properties to be used as new computer war game titles. SSI was acquired in 1994, spent time as part of a toy company, and finally became part of a larger game house that ended up by retiring the brand name a few years later.
