Vesuvio Tapestries

Original 11x15in water color pen & ink on 140lbs paper. I referenced a photo from my adult daughter taken last February. A snow capped Vesuvio is a rare event. Vesuvio is an active volcano! When I started this art adventure after 23 years, and convincing from my daughters. This photo was my first project. It was a disaster! So I gave up... however after creating some 60 pieces of art work. My skill has improved enough to conquer majestic Vesuvio!

The Romans in Pompeii had to escape the eruption of Vesuvius, which covered the Roman city under lava and volcanic ash, for Italian archaeologists to find in 17th century. Funny Roman history design for everyone who enjoys historical jokes and humor.
