An American Giant Water Bug. Also known as "The Toe-Biter". Giant Water Bugs are huge awesome bugs that hunt and devour anything they can catch in the water. They're also called Toe-Biters because they're known to bite the toes of unsuspecting people who walk barefoot in freshwater pools or streams.

Water and clean water at that - is so 'precious'... yet here within the UK we all take it for granted ~ as a given that we will have clean drinkable water at the turn of a tap... But what if the source of that water is tainted what then...? What if the very groundwater - from where it came - was affected by man made disturbances... forces that we as humans 'can and could control'... The process of hydraulic fracturing - we can control, but it is very much our own decision to say NO - to such a malignant and disturbing force... one which threatens to damage the very existence of our being on this Planet... that of disturbing our dependency on 'potable clean drinking water'... No matter what creature big or small ~ 'We all drink...
