Brighton Beach Jetty

After winter pruning commences in the vineyard. We prune by hand. The vines in their growing season send out long tendrils. The barrel pruner goes through first to take these off and make the hand pruning more manageable the vines accessible. Its a big job to prune the vineyard. There is a scientific method so growth the following spring will produce the best producing vines. Do you remember what it was like to get your first car? Two lads came a couple of years ago with their first cars to photograph them - Magpie Springs was the backdrop.... they have upgraded ..... photoshoot time.....I celebrated. Magpie Springs is a rustic farm very close to the McLaren Vale in the Adelaide Hills Wine Region. The property has some of the oldest vines in the Southern Adelaide Hills. Our vineyard, homestead, art gallery and cellar door in the centre of the Fleurieu Peninsula is nestled back from B34, the main road from Hahndorf to Willunga Hill.
