Apricot/orange tuberous begonia. Tuberous Begonias are a group of Begonia cultivars, regarded as some of the most spectacular of the genus. These flowers are usually hybrids where large flowers of many and varied shades have been developed.

Begonia is a genus in the flowering plant family Begoniaceae. With over 1,500 species, Begonia is one of the ten largest angiosperm genera. The species are terrestrial (sometimes epiphytic) herbs or undershrubs and occur in subtropical and tropical moist climates, in South and Central America, Africa and southern Asia. Begonia Rex is noted for its splendid leaves rather than its flowers. Canon 500D, macro lens. (Featured in The World as we See it, or as we Missed it.)
