Wastwater is one of the most Westerly and deepest lakes in the Lake district. In Autumn Wastwater is a breath-taking symphony of nature's colours. The view is looking towards the Northern end of the Lake with the fells and mountains of Yewbarrow, Great Gable and Scafell Pike in view. Taken 18th October 2019 Nikon D600 & Nikon 24-85mm

Barrow Beck flows down from Bleaberry Fell in the Lake District near Derwentwater and Keswick, Here it flows down to Ashness Bridge from where the picture was taken on its way to Derwentwater. The building in the picture is Bark House, originally built to store oak bark from the nearby woods.

An Autumn evening view across Crummock Water in the Western Lake District looking towards Mellbeck and Loweswater Fell. Wainwright considered that 'no pairing of hill and lake in Lakeland have a closer partnership...' A slow shutter speed gives a magical, icy, quality to the water. Crummock water is 2.5 miles long and located between Loweswater and Buttermere.

Blencathra mountain, also known as Saddleback towers above the surrounding countryside. The view here was taken between Threlkeld and Thirlmere Lake. The top of Blecathra towers to nearly 2,900ft above the surrounding Lake District countryside and is a popular walk.

Taking in the Autumn view from the Northern end of Wast Water in the Lake District with low cloud hanging over Yewbarrow Fell to the left and, in the distance, Great Gable Mountain. The Lake and surrounding fells in Wasdale are a popular spot for walkers. I think they look even more spectular in Autumn don't you ?

Always a popular attraction in the Lake District at Derwent Water, the rowing boats are ready to welcome the next batch of intrepid sailors who want to explore Derwent Water at close quarters!!
