Euclid: Ancient Greek mathematician often referred to as the "Father of Geometry." His seminal work, "Elements," laid out the foundations of geometry and introduced rigorous deductive reasoning. Euclid's axioms and theorems have influenced mathematics and education for over two millennia.

Remembering the late great Euclid Beach Amusement Park (1895 - 1969) located on the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland, Ohio. The place to go in the summer if you were a kid in Northern Ohio. Great attractions like the Carousel and a bunch of roller coasters including the Flying Turns, a trackless wooden chute, full of twists like a bobsled course, with toboggan-like cars. The Beach Boys included it in their song "Amusement Parks U.S.A." (from their 1965 album Summer Days (and Summer Nights!!)).  "At Euclid Beach on the Flying Turns I'll bet you can't keep her smilin'."

The true key to philosophic mathematics is the famous Forty-seventh Proposition of Pythagoras, erroneously attributed to Euclid. The Forty-seventh Theorem is stated thus: In a right-angled triangle the square described on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares described on the other two sides. The Forty-seventh Problem is an important Masonic symbol and because of its close connection with the builder’s art is often called the “carpenter’s theorem.” It is believed that many of the complicated mathematical details of the Great Pyramid were based upon now unknown applications of this theorem. The Forty-seventh Problem is the key to the relationship between the three major parts of man: spirit, body, and soul.
