Hebrew Living Letter Pillows

REYSH or resh is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 20th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet. In ancient Hebrew reysh means a head: ראשי (rosh). It is no coincidence that the letter ר reysh follows the letter ב beth in the Hebrew word ברא bera, "to create." Reysh is one of the letters in the Hebrew alphabet that initiates, begins, or starts something.

VAV is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 6th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet and has the numerical value of 6. The pictograph for Vav looks like a tent peg or a nail, and symbolically represents: 1) joining together, 2) making secure, or 3) becoming bounded to (nailed to). The first vav in God’s Word is in Genesis 1:1 – “In the beginning God created the heavens and [vav] the earth.”

The pictograph for Dalet ד looks like door, which can symbolically represents: 1) a door, 2) a path or way of life, or 3) movement, especially into or out of. Messiah Yeshua calls Himself the Door: “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture” (John 10:9 NKJV).

KAF כ is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 11th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet and has the numerical value of 20. The pictograph for Kaf כ looks like a palm of a hand, and by extension anything contained within the palm of the hand. Grammatically, when a Hebrew word is prefixed with kaf, it adds the dimensions of being “like” or “as.” Take for example, putting kaf as a prefix on the Hebrew word for king (melekh) – k’melekh – communicates being like a king. When we “prefix” ourselves with Messiah Yeshua, we are conformed to His image.

YUD, Yood, or Yōd י is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 10th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet and has the numerical value of 10. The pictograph for Yod י looks like an arm or hand. Yod is the smallest of the Hebrew Living Letters and it’s suspended in mid-air. It’s the atom of the consonants. and the form by which all the other letters begin and end. In Hebrew mysticism, “yod” represents a divine point of energy.

SHIN or sheen is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 21st letter of the Hebrew Alphabet. 7 * 3 = 21. This letter's complete perfection is reflected in the works of the Almighty whose great name "Shaddai" bears the shin (sh).

ALEF or ALEPH א is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 1st letter of the Hebrew Alphabet and has the numerical value of both 1 and 1000. The pictograph for Alef א is an ox or bull, which represents strength, or a leader. Alef is the father of the Hebrew Alphabet. Alef is a silent letter; therefore, it points to the mysteries of the oneness of God.

SAMECH is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 15th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet and has the numerical value of 60. The ancient pictograph for SAMECH resembles a shield.

HEI or Hey ה is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 5th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet and has the numerical value of 5. The pictograph for Hei ה looks like a man (priest) with his hands raised, and symbolically represents: 1) behold, 2) to look, 3) to show, or 4) to reveal. The Hebrew Mystics point to “the breath of His mouth” refers to the letter hei – the breath of the Spirit of the Living God outward.

GIMEL ג is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 3rd letter of the Hebrew Alphabet and has the numerical value of 3. The pictograph for Gimel ג is a camel. The fullness of the Godhead (Col 2:9) is visible in Christ and communicated by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, divine fullness signifies the Holy Spirit taking the things of Christ and making them experientially real. It is by the Holy Spirit we realize spiritual things and go beyond the surface. Aleph (1) and Bet (2) equals Gimel (3) suggests that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father (Alef) and the Son (Bet).

KOOF, kuf, or qof is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 19th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet. In ancient Hebrew, KOOF means the back of the head. Of all the letters of the Hebrew alphabet, koof is symbolically the lowest. Therefore, koof signifies the emulation of holiness on earth.

AYIN ע is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 16th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet and has the numerical value of 70. The word “ayin” means eye - to see - and by extension to understand. Ayin represents the spiritual light mentioned in Genesis 1:3., which is different than the celestial light mentioned in Genesis 1:14-18.

PEY, pei or pe פ is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 17th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet and has the numerical value of 80. The way this ancient letter was drawn agrees with the meaning of the letter pey – mouth – therefore, by extension, pey encompasses “word,” “expression,” “speech,” “declarations,” etc.

NUN or noon נ is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 14th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet and has the numerical value of 50. The pictograph for nun looks kind of like a seed. It’s shaped in the form of a bent-over vessel or a bent-over servant. In Aramaic, the word nun means “fish,” a symbol of activity and life.

ZAYIN ז is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 7th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet and has the numerical value of 7. The pictograph for Zayin ז looks like a sword, and symbolically represents: 1) to cut, or 2) to pierce. The letter Zayin ז equals the number 7. TSADIK צ is a Hebrew Living Letter. It's the 18th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet. It’s ancient Hebrew pictograph is a fish hook. The tsadik letter צ itself is formed from a bent noon and vav. The noon represents a humble and faithful servant bent in submission with the crowned vav. Thus, we see the tzaddik – righteous person – is revealed in the letter form as a faithful servant with his arms raised before the LORD in humility.
