An old pumping station along New River Path, Hertford. HDR created from one RAW file processed as three DNG files in Photomatix, adjustments in CS6 with some help from Topaz Filters. Nikon 1 J2 with Nikkor 10-30 zoom. The New River is neither new nor a river. It is a water supply aqueduct, completed in 1613, to bring drinking water from Hertfordshire to North London.

This wind pumping station is located after the village of Kachlin in the Thurbruch near the Kachliner See on the island of Usedom. It served to drain the Thurbruch and is now a monument.
