Redtailed Hawk Selfies, Colored Pencil on drafting film, by Conni Schaftenaar Our friend who hunts our farm in West Michigan has a game camera out in one of our wooded areas to track what goes by. This redtailed hawk was returning over several days, looking for all the world like he KNEW that camera was there and he was striking poses, showing off. Our friend showed me his photos, which really made me smile at the antics of this beautiful bird, and gave his permission for me to use his photos to create something. This image will end up with him for his man cave. These beautiful birds of prey are so incredible!
