A Florida twist on the classic Gadsden flag

While this flag, and saying, is associated with Texas, it was actually designed by an 18 year old living in Georgia by the name of Joanna Troutman. The flag accompanied a group of Georgians, heading into battle with the Texans in their bid for independence from Mexico. Some historical sources say the words read "Texas and Liberty" on the original, although the majority seem to favor "Liberty or Death". Unfortunately, the orginal flag never made it through the battle it was sent to, and we cannot tell if this is how the flag would have looked. This design is centered around the big, lone, blue star, and the phrase 'Liberty or Death'.
