“Medusa” was created to represent today’s symbolism of femininity, power, and transformation. She was feared and revered for her ability to turn people to stone with a single glance.

“Desert” was a tattoo commission drawing that took about 40+ hours to complete. The tattoo/drawing represents evolving from a life of trauma and a dark past. The piece is split into two segments. One showcasing the beauty of life and the other, the nighttime, the darker parts we work to overcome to survive.

“Foundation” was inspired by the struggling story to keep the Northern White Rhino alive. In life, we do everything in our power to support our friends, families, neighbors, and co-workers alike to thrive. We encourage those around us to be better. Do better. Sometimes, we’re too late… And in those moments, we ask ourselves “what could I have done differently?” Don’t wait to help those around you. Don’t wait to push yourself. All it takes is a little discipline to build a good foundation.

“Head in the Clouds” was inspired by my own personal growth as an artist. Having goals that seem out of reach for some, may only seem like a few trying steps for you. Persistence, practice, and failure is how we learn. Every day is not going to be perfect and not everything is going to be easy. Keep your head in the clouds. Keep dreaming. Keep creating.

"Warrior" was inspired by the challenges wrought on by everyday life. Although the warrior encounters joys and hardships they must adapt, learn and overcome. This is the warriors way to achieve peace.

"I Can't Breathe" showcases a skull at the forefront of the drawing with lungs and roots evolving into floral with the Portland, Oregon city skyline in the background. My home. This piece represents the suffocating feeling a city can create. Everyone has obligations to attend to, but we mustn't forget our place of home. Where you grow and evolve from.

"Neuroses" was created to bring light to the things we fear most. For me, spiders, hallucinogens (or any drug for that matter,) and memory loss. As we grow older we discover that the things you were scared of as a child can change your world for the better. Like discovering compounds in edible lion's mane mushrooms can help promote neurogenesis and enhance memory. Face your fears. It will only make you stronger.

"May I Have Your Attention" was based around the idea that people crave the third eye awakening. Mental clarity, improved concentration, clear self-expression, strengthened intuition, decisiveness, insight. You create your peace every day.

"Harmony" took 3 years to complete. I began working on it before covid-19 and was the project I put off time and time again. I was frustrated, excited, and upset, and there were times I wanted to scrap this and throw it away entirely. Summer 2023 it was finished. I learned balance and peace with creative process and execution. If you have a creative project lying around: Go do it. Push. As hard as you can, push through. You just need a little peace and harmony.

"Kindred" Was inspired by the giant head sculpture that resides within one of my favorite San Diego vegan cocktail bar & restaurants also called Kindred. The large sculpture sits above one of the dining guest tables where people can place money in the mouth of the beast. The money placed there is matched by the restaurant and donated to the California Wolf Center in Julian. The CWC dedicates itself to the recovery of wolves in the wildlands, in a healthy and peaceful coexistence with humans. Seeing the sculpture in person and hearing the story was such an inspiration to me that I had to bring it to life through my painting.

"The Fisherman's Wife" Inspired by an old German fairytale where a fisherman goes out to sea and catches a creature that grants wishes. Reluctant to ask for anything the fisherman sets the creature free without a request. When the fisherman returns home, he tells the wife of his story and demands he returns to sea to make a wish. Consumed by greed, the fisherman returned to the sea as many times as possible satisfied by nothing. With each returning wish the sea grew more violent. Then he requests to be granted the power to control the sun, moon, and the power of a god. The creature told the man to return home where all the wishes that he once had, were now taken away.

"In Spring" was created with the idea that everything begins anew. Reimagining the concept of plant life and animals melded together to truly represent mother nature and the how important it is for us to take care of it and preserve it. This piece kickstarted my inspiration of melding other animals with pieces of nature.

"The Creator" was this wonderful concept that I had where an animal harnessed the ability to maintain it's own land. It could care for it and move it around as necessary to maintain balance and create more.

"Slowly But Surely" was inspired by the slow rate at which we are destroying our planet through pollution and consumption of resources. This piece is a reminder that we can always do better.

"Regrowth" features an awe inspiring endangered African Elephant with one of my favorite trees, the bonsai. The premise of this painting was to bring awareness to the near extinction of these great animals and how we need to preserve them. In the image you can see the elephant witnessing the growth of a beautiful bonsai tree coming from his tusk. With enough awareness and protection, we can rebuild and restore these gracious animals to thrive in the wild again.

"Eye Of The Beholder" was inspired by the endangerment of the peregrine falcons. Showcasing a globe as the eye of the falcon, these birds struggle to keep their eggs long enough to hatch due to the shells thinning caused by pollutants.

"Monarch" is the definition of miracle. If you research the monarch migration and how it's completed year after year, it becomes more difficult to comprehend just how incredible these butterflies truly are. The same generation never makes the same migration twice and knowing where to go and when every year is just as astonishing. The death of the 1st generation of monarchs sets the second up for success and so forth. Make your life just as meaningful for the generation after you.
