Art of Rendering

This is an extension of my last artwork, taken off my shed door, it reflects how I see a love that is almost unreachable, yet so close. Also my computer crashes every time I edited the other file, so I created a new work, closer to the idea I originally had.

I had an under painting of a horizon with yellow ocher and dark green, on my shed in 2004. In 2020, 16 years later, I felt the deep need to express my self for a long lost love in a land where we can live in our dream. Painted in the light drizzle of rain, with acrylic in the winter nights with only my ancient memory of a burning love to keep me warm.

I visited Port Macquarie back in 2011, I painted this as part of my experience.

I created a Wave T-Shirt a few years ago, I decided that to change its color scheme to red, it seems more fitting to our current time.

This drawing done on Dessian CA grain paper 1250mm x 1500mm with a 10B pencil, drawn live in the middle of Sydney at Henry Deane Plaza. I drew it with the paper on the ground with a backing board, with a absolute minimum use of a rubber(clearing accidental smudges), without sitting, occasionally kneeling but mainly standing in a pose I call Kungfu Yoga, while talking, joking and engaging the crowds of thousands that passed by, all day for 5 days. I loved it and would do it again, it was for the event "Art on the Walk", with many other artists present. This is my design of the true peace symbol built into a tree, to promote real Peace on Earth. This is the true orientation of this symbol, all what you have seen since 1958 is the upside down version which symbolizes the “gesture of despair” or the “death of man” or as in ancient Nordic runes it implies the loss of protection and lack of defense of loved ones. The "Y" orientation has the true name is “Algiz” or “Elhaz” which is Germanic for “Elk”, it basic meaning is “Protection”, also known as the “Life” symbol, but when inverted it has the meaning of “Death” or as a way of disarming and finding “Despair”. As I was trying to help celebrate Anzac day in my own way, I found that using the word ANZAC contravenes a particular law in Australia(1921). I have sought for permission and have had no response from the VA in Australia, so as it is my personal artwork I make available, I have just changed the title and re-posted my artwork.
