1912 newspaper scrap clipping showing the expected sailing date for the return voyage on April 20 of the ill fated Titanic & its sister ship Olympic. This is a scan of a genuine New York paper from 1912. I have another image where I have created a circle effect in photoshop rather than damage the item around the ad. See my other items for sale. Illustrated engraving Le Petit Parisien 11 March 1900. 2 Elephants Archie & Charlie escaped after being teased by a circus worker who Charlie then trampled & killed. The unfortunate Charlie was shot after being poisoned. Archie though went on a long tour of the area until bored of trying to escape he returned on his own. According to the Beckenham Journal "Archie picked up a trunkful of hay and began eating it “with an air of indifference as though he had just been out for a stroll and had come in to tea as usual” The more unfortunate Charlie was stuffed & displayed in the natural history section of Crystal Palace until it was destroyed in the fire of 1936.
