Rossella Picciani
Roz's work is semi-abstract and pointillist. It is inspired by nature, culture, the human obsession with symbols, and is informed by her training as a graphic designer.

A furphy is Australian slang for an erroneous or improbable story that is claimed to be factual. The word is said to derive from water carts designed and made by a company: J. Furphy & Sons of Shepparton, Victoria. Many Furphy water carts were used to take water to Australian Army personnel during World War I in Australia, Europe and the Middle East. The carts, with "J. Furphy & Sons" written on their tanks, became popular as gathering places where soldiers could exchange gossip, rumours and fanciful tales.

the novel Frankenstein is not, as many as would have it, about what happens when humans deign to 'play God' - it's about parenting - the story of a delinquent "father" and his "child" who, due to neglect and abuse, becomes a monster
a story for the ages

on the monitor you're reading this on, the colour yellow is made up from red and green - this is "additive colour" where the more colour you add, the brighter/whiter the resulting colour becomes
of course, when you mix green and red in a "subtractive colour" space like printing, you end up with a brown, or, with a bit of luck, a dirty gold colour ... let's see if it works
