They don't get more complicated than Betsy Elizabeth Bradock/Psylocke/Kwannon/Revanche... But you couldn't escape the 90's without falling for the "focused totality of her psychic powers!"

Controversial Opinion: Rachel Grey-Summers was the best host of the Phoenix Force. She's the only one that didn't go crazy, and she was the best dressed. Flaming death metal bondage gear is in every season!

She's a wisecracking, mallrat with attitude, and everyone's favorite Firecracker! Sure she may have grown-up a bit, lost her powers, become a vampire, adopted a kid, and been Phoenix-blasted back into her normal mutant state, but she's still the plasma slinging brat we know and love.

She's been a disco queen, a gladiator, a superhero, a freedom fighter, and she may be immortal (though who knows if anyone will ever explain that dropped plotline).

Marvel's second class of merry mutants, were angsty, rebellious, and as cool as you could be as a teenager in the 1980's.

They may not be the first class, but they are still one of the best.
