Olga of Kiev, was a Viking girl, who married a Ukrainian prince in 900 ad. She successfully defended Ukraine from invaders, after the prince was killed. And ruled for 20 years. You love, mountains, starry nights, sunrise and sunset, the Blue Ridge, your coworkers, the seasons as they change, and natures cycle of renewal. Working in a weaving mill showed me all these things and more. I made a study of Weaver Birds.. ( & folks ), in all their many colors. Work is not always easy, or fun…but the weavers are good at their work… and it’s worth admiration and a painting to remember. Just like your work.
