How many times have you fallen into the trap of “what if”? What if I fail? What if I make a fool of myself? What if people hate it? What if I get hurt? It’s common. We’re wracked by fear and scared of judgement of others. But why? Why do we care what they think or say? Let’s play a new what if game…. What if we change the way we talk with a simple word. “Don’t”. What if I DON’T fail? What if I DON’T make a fool of myself? What if people DON’T hate me? What if I DON’T get hurt? Which of those what if statements opens doors and which leaves them shut? Which of those what if statements leads to possibility and which leads to missing out? Which of these leads to possibility? Which of them leads to more...what if?

We should cast aside the pejoratives and bring up the positive when we talk about ourselves. It something that each and every one of us is worthy of. Because... I am. I know your are too.

We all know at least one. That negative person who just seeps their seething rage into the world around them. Then there are others. The ones who refuse to be held down by the negativity. Which side would you prefer to be one. The negative...or the positive. Being positive can be as simple as complimenting someone when you walk past them. Or as big as helping someone through a rough patch. But it's always important to stay positive.

Your "Why" is everything. You "why" is your purpose, your meaning, and the engine that moves you forward. Don't hide it. Embrace it. Stand in it. Fight for it.

Kindness costs us nothing and yet is valued so greatly. So if kindness is free...and it's value is high....what stops us from giving it? What stops us from from freely adding something so great?

It's not always easy to look for the good in everything. In fact sometimes it's almost impossible. Almost. When we try, when we really try then there is always a way to find good. Even if that good means making a change. Even if that good means saying goodbye. As we move on from one experience to the next, it's important to always remember to look for the good in whatever comes our way.

You're not like everyone. You don't want to be like everyone. You don't want to be like anyone other than yourself. Let everyone else worry about fitting a mold or doing thing "by the book." Life is too short to conform to a "type". You're more than a "label". Be proud to just stand up, stand out, and be yourself.

We are tasked to always believe in the good of others. We hope and want so much to see the goodness in those around us shining through in the darkest of moments. But what about ourselves? What about the good in us? Are we just asking the world to be good to us or are we being good in return. Goodness is needed in this world. Now more than ever. But goodness starts within each of us. To believe in the good, we must first BE the good.

We are surrounded every day by negativity, distrust, and pedantic [insert favorite curse word]. Turn on the news, nothing but negativity. Go on social media, people yelling and arguing at each other through keyboards and screens. But if you look, look very closely, you can see love shining through in small pieces all around us. Love exists in two friends sharing a laugh. An elderly couple sitting on a bench. A dad making faces at their kid in the grocery store. A couple saying, "I do". A person getting that job they so desperately need. It's not always easy to find the love that surrounds us, but it's always important. That means that many times it's up to US to BE that love that we want to see 24/7
