The Red Oni is associated with passion, wildness, and defiance. A Red Oni is often more brawny than brainy, extroverted, enthusiastic, determined, and filled with a zest for life. He is also much more likely to break conventions and rules than his counterpart.
He is known as Kala Rahu. According to Hindu mythology, Rahu is one of the asuras that tries to get eternity water or tirta amerta. His cunning makes him beheaded by Vishnu. His head wanders in the sky, while chasing Surya and Candra, in retaliation for his complaint to Vishnu, thus creating an eclipse. He is believed to be the cause of the eclipse.
Banaspati is a term for ghosts or evil spirits with a high level of black magic that has the appearance of fire and the main element of fire. His figure can take the form of a fireball or vortex of fire. This ghosts usually fly low from one place to another by taking their appearance. Banaspati will burn the humans who harass him. This evil spirit is often found in the regions of Java and Kalimantan, Indonesia.
