My daughter is bright like a daffodil, and cheerful and cheeky. She reminded me of daffodils the other day and I couldn't believe I'd forgotten about them! So here we are!
These are my favourite flowers that I've drawn/painted in a while. It's funny how inspiration disappears at times and then most unexpectedly reappears and bam everything is happening at once and I can't get pen to paper fast enough!
Part of a new series that looks at grounding some of my favorite flowers by portraying them in jars/vases/vessels of different descriptions. Loving this work so far!
This is one of the first flowering gum illustrations I did and recently found it in my collection of originals. I love it so much and can already see it in a pattern, it has a lovely vibe about it and I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to share!
I love yellow cosmos flowers, they will take over your garden in the most gorgeous way! They self seed, so before you know it, their golden yellow blooms will be popping up all over your yard.
I love lavender so much and wish I could fill my garden with it! Unfortunately they don’t like the salty air where I live, it could also have something to do with my gardening skills!
Poppies are one of the most amazing flowers to watch open, they almost 'pop' and then uncurl their crinkled petals looking very much like crepe paper until they are completely open. So beautiful!

These are flowering across the road from our house at the moment and the smell of their perfume wafting into the kitchen each morning is so beautiful! How could I not do a few studies of this gorgeous native flower.
I haven't had any flowers in my studio this week and with all the rain my potted herbs have been growing like crazy! Picked a few to place in a vase and was inspired to draw them in this scattered, abstract kind of way. I would love this as wallpaper in my kitchen!
I love cornflowers, their blue color is so intense and they have the most beautiful whimsical earthiness. This piece is pen and gouache on watercolor paper.
