Design made from a watercolor painting of 'Ruins in the forest' by Katarzyna Kmiecik.
It's a very unique and atmospheric landscape created with a very limited color palette.
The idea was to use only shades of green (mostly olive green) and violet for this painting. I also decided to put first layer of paint completely independently, before the sketch was even made, to make it look more loose and natural.
Romantic ruins are in the centre of attention, but they don't overshadow the trees, which look very magical in all those greens and violets.
