This started as just vases and a cabinet in a colorful room. I added the lady at the very end and I like the way it turned out. Acrylic on mixed media paper.

I wanted a mixed media background with orange as the dominant color. Then I drew a skirt and I wanted her hands to be on her hips - showing confidence. She’s fierce and fancy!

I painted this when my son was in college out of state. It was a reminder of his home state. It still hangs on his wall. I’’m very proud of the texture in the yellow section and how it stands out ahead of the mixed media colors.
