String Orchestra Dragons live in mountains and valleys. They especially love pine forests, since rosin is a favorite treat of theirs and they will eat it like candy. It helps keep their wings in good condition, strengthening the individual strands, which they spread in order to fly. In times of stress or danger, they can take the form of musical instruments, a shape they can hold for decades, or even centuries. When they feel safe, they will relax into their true form. Occasionally, a string orchestra dragon in musical instrument shape will be found by humans; some “stolen” string instruments are thought to actually be dragons who have returned to their true shape and gone home.
