This tiny Argentinian armadillo (Chlamyphorus truncatus) is nocturnal and goes underground during the day. Little is known about them and they are endangered. Yes, it is real!

This beautiful, ancient species jets up to shallower waters at night to feed and sinks down to the depths during the day to stay hidden. It is a threatened species because of over-hunting for it's shell. You should buy this instead of a real shell.

A honey bee (Apis sp.) putting away summer for their growing larvae. I love the interesting shapes of pollen seen up close and all the patterns in nature.
This is a male Australian Giant Cuttlefish (Sepia apama) who is looking for a mate. They do not eat much at this time so the blue crab (Portunus armatus) is lucky!
