A colorized version of my drawing of a lily. Meant as a gift for my mother-in-law, I thoroughly enjoy drawing different flowers in my abstract black-and-white style, as the strange shapes always seem to blend in well with the shapes of flowers. At the same time, coloring these drawings digitally always seems to give them some additional charm.

Son of Allfather Odin and the God of Thunder: Thor. The abstract, black-and-white style that I have developed over the years fits characters that are larger than life - deities from mythology and legend; characters from Norse mythology fit this description well.

While trying out different things to get a sense of what kind of (abstract) style I wanted to make my work in, I also attempted different levels of abstractionism. This piece shows my attempt to de-construct a human face into generic, simple shapes and forms, while still remaining a certain recognizability. This is a digital remake of what was once originally drawn by hand on paper with black gel-pens.

Fenrir
One of my experiments with an abstract, minimalist style. For this piece, I began to choose more concrete (less abstract) subjects; as such, this work is based on Noortje, my parents' late Scottish Fold cat, being held by my sister. Made with black gel-pen.

Demon
The Allfather, Odin, from Norse mythology. I personally find that the abstract, black-and-white style that I have developed over the years fits characters that are larger than life - deities from mythology and legend, therefore, were a logical subject for my artwork. For Odin, I decided to keep his beard regal by using geometric shapes, whereas his helmet would have more circular and sharp shapes in contrast.
