Original illustration from my Daily Orange series. The Golden Lion Tamarin, a magnificent creature which displays an impressive orange mane. It resides in Brazil, which like many animals, has suffered from deforestation, leaving it with only 2-5% of its natural habitat. It also has less decent hiding spots, making it easier prey. In the 1970s there was only around 500 left in the wild. Luckily there are now around 5000, although they are still an endangered species. The animal is visually stunning but also has impressive social structures. It also has claws which enable dexterity and foraging abilities.

Daily Orange 🍊. The starfish. From my daily orange series where I draw something orange each day using a sharpie on a post-it note. The starfish is a badass predator of shallow water, without remorse. Think you can kill it by ripping it's arm off? Think again, it will grow right back and come at you with sass and an insatiable desire to eat you (if you're a mollusk or clam). There's 1000s of variants of star fish and they can live up to 30 years. There's a few especially badass starfish that are poisonous to humans, one being known as "Crown of Thorns". Its title alone is enough to know that it would be unwise to consider crossing. The star fish, a mighty Orange of the Ocean.

f you were a kid the 90s, you'll remember that tango man is a bald, tubby, almost fully naked orange man who would appear whilst someone drank orange Tango. He would then proceed to slap the person in the face and shout "you've been tangoed", apparently personifying the sensation of drinking Tango. He was an intolerable prick. Unfortunately many kids were inspired by his sadistic actions and consequently ran around slapping other kids in the face. Shortly after, the ad was banned. Hopefully tango man ended up in jail for assault and indecent exposure.

Daily orange. A captivating object for today's feature, the humble traffic cone. An exciting and treasured object to students and road safety aware professionals alike. "Often cone shaped" they were invented by Charles D. Scanlon in early 1900s, one of the true health and safety heroes of our time. Hand drawn illustration from my (Richard Stelmach), series of Daily Orange illustrations on orange post-it notes.

Daily orange 🍊. Each day I draw something that is orange on a post-it note, using a Sharpie. Today's orange takes us into the animal kingdom, featuring one of the most admired orange animals in the world, the fox. The fox must have always been admired by man as it features in a native American creation theory, revered as a God and in countless folklores and tales. The fox is crafty and adaptable as well as aesthetically impressive and majestic. It's orange fur helps as camouflage of course. There is no witty statement about the fox, it is just a great orange that is to be respected and admired. The only profound thing to ponder is, why don't animals have green fur?

Original illustration, hand drawn by me Richard Stelmach as part of my Daily Orange series. The Orangutan is a beautiful creature which spends most of its time in the trees by itself. It is highly intelligent, which is probably why it knows spending most of its time in the trees by itself is a good idea and unlikely it would find other animals intellectually stimulating enough to make it worthwhile conversing with. It could be imagined that the orangutan spends many hours philosophising atop of the canopy. Orangutans are also good at swearing at people, riding in a truck and slapping faces as shown in Every Which Way but Loose, alongside Clint Eastwood or evolving into humanoid intellectuals as shown in The Planet of the Apes. Sadly...

An orange a day keeps the doctor away. Okay, it's normally "an apple a day..." but why choose apple when you can have orange? Original illustration from my (Richard Stelmach) Daily Orange series, the greatest colour on Earth. Each day I draw something orange on a post-it note with a Sharpie. If you like oranges or things that are drawn (who doesn't?) and wish to express your passion or wear it upon your body, Orange is the way to go.
