Tara is a tantric meditation deity whose practice is used by practitioners of the Tibetan branch of Vajrayana Buddhism to develop certain inner qualities and understand outer, inner and secret teachings about compassion and emptiness. Tara is actually the generic name for a set of Buddhas or bodhisattvas of similar aspect. These may more properly be understood as different aspects of the same quality, as bodhisattvas are often considered metaphors for Buddhist virtues. White Tara counteracts illness and thereby helps to bring about a long life. She embodies the motivation that is compassion and is said to be as white and radiant as the moon.

“The waves broke and spread their waters swiftly over the shore. One after another they massed themselves and fell; the spray tossed itself back with the energy of their fall. The waves were steeped deep-blue save for a pattern of diamond-pointed light on their backs which rippled as the backs of great horses ripple with muscles as they move. The waves fell; withdrew and fell again, like the thud of a great beast stamping.” ― Virginia Woolf, The Waves

What a wonderful world! Flowers and music are often talked about in the same vein. If flowers are a breath of heaven on earth, so too is music. Listening to soothing music and taking in the fragrance of fresh flowers can rejuvenate anyone. Any celebration devoid of music is robbed of its full glory. The music ties everything together -- the decorations; the flowers; and the theme in general.

Dance during Mughal Era:Traditional Dance continued in this period both in the north and in the south. Kathak was a new dance that had developed during this period. But the art was not pursued purely from an aesthetic point of view. Kathak is the only Indian dance form to have been directly and deeply impacted by the arrival and rule of northern and central India by the Mughal, an Islamic dynasty from Persia. Kathak is legitimately both Hindu and Islamic, and unique in having a historical link to a religion that pretty much ‘officially’forbids dance and music!

A rose's rarest essence lives in the thorn. A thorn defends the rose, harming only those who would steal the blossom. Do not watch the petals fall from the rose with sadness, know that, like life, things sometimes must fade, before they can bloom again. The rose is a flower of love.
