Save the California Delta – Stop the Tunnel!
This design is a detailed collage of important aspects of the Sacramento San Joaquin Delta outlined by a Chinook salmon. It is a collaboration between artist Amanda Smith and groups raising awareness about how the State's proposal to built a massive 45-mile long 39-foot in diameter tunnel to divert water from the Sacramento River just south of Sacramento would irreparably damage the California Delta. Support protection of the largest estuary on the West Coast of the Americas from this destructive megaproject that won’t create new water.

Keep Pacheco Wild/No Pacheco Dam! This shirt is a collaboration between artist Amanda Smith and Stop the Pacheco Dam to raise awareness about the negative environmental and other impacts from the proposed new dam in one of California’s few remaining wild places. If constructed, the project would inundate about 1,500 acres of wildlife habitat, including increasingly rare sycamore alluvial and oak woodlands, and part of Henry Coe State Park. Environmental groups, including Friends of the River, Center for Biological Diversity and others are working to stop this damaging and costly project. Show your support by rocking this awesome T-shirt. Follow the movement and get involved at https://stoppachecodam.org, Twitter and Facebook.

Western Toads used to rule the LA River, Even though their populations have declined they are still beloved and symbols for whole neighborhoods like Frogtown, even though yes, they were toads and not frogs most likely.

The Bread and Roses Strike of 1911 is an inspirational piece of labor history in the USA. The phrase "Bread and Roses" was used from the suffregette and labor movements of the early 1900's and represents the fight for not only enough compensation to survive on but also to have rest, recreation, and opportunities to grow in life.

The Lost Coast is a hard to reach section of coastline where the US HWY 1 ends. Backpackers enjoy 25 miles of beach side hiking and have to time their hike according to the tides for safe passage.

From the Eastsider, "Steelhead trout used to swim up and down the L.A. River. Downstream to the salty Pacific Ocean to grow and live, then upstream toward the cold fresh waters of the San Gabriel Mountains to spawn. Back and forth, north and south, from the beginning of recorded history until 1940.
That’s the last documented time that a steelhead trout was caught there.
And now, after more than 80 years, the city is trying to bring the trout back to the L.A. River."
Show your support for the LA River and the return of the Steelhead Trout to their natural breeding grounds. Don't call it a comeback, they've spawned here for years.
