Inspired by the amazing work done by Psygnosis, Sony Liverpool and of course the late Designers Republic on the Wipeout series of games, this is an attempt to take the overtly futuristic aesthetic of the series’ logos and revert them to a more traditional, automotive design language. In other words, it’s as if Wipeout was set in the 50s. Cool huh?

Inspired by the hit 1950s BBC radio serial Journey Into Space – a NASA-style mission patch for Jet Morgan and the crew of Luna on their voyage to the moon.
The design is based loosely on the old NASA Apollo patches, with an attempt to make them more British, and more like the kind of thing someone in the 1950s might design. Hence the gratuitous use of Gill Sans and nice retro feel to the graphics.
