Giant Octopus Pacific Ocean

Enteroctopus dofleini, also known as the giant Pacific octopus or North Pacific giant octopus, is a large marine cephalopod belonging to the genus Enteroctopus. Its spatial distribution includes the coastal North Pacific, along California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Alaska, Russia, northern Japan, and Korea.

The giant Pacific octopus (Enteroctopus dofleini), is a large marine cephalopod and is the largest octopus species.

Part one of Tentacle Week 2018! I recently visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium and marveled at all the tentacled critters on display, especially the Giant Pacific Octopus!

Fun Facts About Giant Pacific Octopuses 1. Giant Pacific octopuses can grow to 29.5 feet (9 m) wide from the tip of one arm to the tip of another and 44 pounds (20 kg). 2. Giant Pacific octopuses can change color in one-tenth of a second. 3. Giant Pacific octopuses can be found more than 330 feet (100 m) underwater.

'Keep Tacoma Feared' with dreary grey skies(It's never sunny here), Galloping Gertie (the old Tacoma Narrows Bridge, so poorly designed that it collapsed into the Sound), King Octopus (local sea monster), and Mount Rainier (an active volcano predicted to erupt within the next few decades and annihilate Tacoma. lol.)
