This cool bird made a nest in a tree near my house. To get pictures of the little guy I climbed into my roof and walked across the tiles. They make adorable little grunts that sound like a dog's chew toy.

This little buddy flew up one morning to sip from the feeder, and stayed for ten minutes preening.

Another shot of the hummer that came to preen for awhile. The sun slanted down perfectly for some amazing shots. Great little model. Might have to hire him.

This gorgeous little monkey worked like a model for me, turning and posing and shifting positions. He is a rescue being conditioned to go back into the wild.

I ate papaya in the States about once a year. It was hard to find - and usually tasted like it was picked while still unripe. In Panama the papaya is delicious. It's picked when it's perfectly ripe and sold immediately. The papaya is one of my favorite things about Latin America. In this photo you can see the baby papaya tree that grew in our backyard. Every morning we had a beautiful sunrise that accented the papaya silhouette.
