The Staircase of the King of Aragon is one of the tourist attractions of the town of Bonifacio in Corsica, among its faragles overlooking the sea. Is located in the Mediterranean Sea, more precisely at the southernmost point of Corsica, overlooking the Bouches of Bonifacio, which separate from Sardinia. From the sea, it looks like a very steep stairway, especially in the part near the faraglions. Sliced directly by the man in the limestone rock of Bonifacio, this staircase consists of 189 stairs, which have about an inclination of about 45 °. According to the legend, it was built on a single night by the troops of King Aragon Alfonso V the Magnanimus when they tried to occupy Bonifacio in 1420 to guarantee the supply of water...
