The many problems associated with such situation are an increase in potential deaths due to "STINGERS" ~ some jellyfish such as the box jelly being highly venomous ~ a reverse energy yield up the food chain due to high fish protein content being consumed and being turned into 'lower energy' Jellies! Well for Forrest Gump that may have been the case ~ but for the poor 'Sharks Worldwide' ~ their 'fate is sealed' to a life much less than ordinary... The intense 'economic pressure' placed upon 'poor fishermen' by much more 'wealthy and often affluent' bosses or 'middle-men' ~ within the Shark Finning Industry is fueling the trade of Shark Fins Worldwide. Comments made by Fisheries that Sharks are not targeted species and are merely an act of 'Bycatch' should in most instances be dismissed. Fools should not be taken likely ~ this is a TARGETED species ~ and due to the economic demand ~ most often it is the FINS to GO first off the carcass...

Freshly 'shucked' oysters, sautéed whelks with aioli and 1/2 a dozen fresh prawns or langoustine. That is the 'treat from the sea' that the French call "Fruits De La Mer"... BUT just 'how long can all this this 'gargantuan gastonomy' last...?
