The strange stark beauty of a rock pool

This was a more abstract piece, taken from a photo that zoomed into the rocks on the beach at Marazion, Cornwall. I took the colours a little further to make it a real statement piece.

The Rockpool is at the northern end of the Strand, it is a salt water pool continually pumped from Halifax Bay. This is the one time I have seen the Rockpool without swimmers or pumps operating giving a perfectly flat water reflection, as there was a performance by PolyToxic from Brisbane presenting ‘Trade Winds’, about to take place.
