Rubha Nan Gall Lighthouse is situated just north of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull and was constructed in 1857 by David & Thomas Stevenson. First lit on the 10th November 1857, the lighthouse was tended by lighthouse keepers for over a century until it was automated in 1960; it continues to guide mariners to this day.

Rubha Nan Gall Lighthouse is situated just north of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull and was constructed in 1857 by David & Thomas Stevenson. Nearby sits a memorial (plaque), indicating the points of view across the sea, where these poppies had been placed: "On this spot, much loved and frequented by him, this memorial is erected by his many friends in memory of Robert brown of Stronsaule who died on 18th January 1936"

Who cannot fall in love with Tobermory? The cheer of painted houses set the tone. The romance of the islands beckons, scented with pine, moss, and heather. To the north of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, sits the Rubha Nan Gall Lighthouse which is reached by a scenic 2km path that has wonderful views towards Ardnamurchan on the other side of the bay; definitely "The Road Less Travelled"
