A spin-off of Happy Days, the sitcom Laverne & Shirley followed the lives of Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeney, two friends and roommates who work as bottle-cappers in the fictitious Shotz Brewery in late '50s Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Shotz is said to be a nod to Schlitz, the Milwaukee brewery that was founded in 1849. The Laverne & Shirley series ran for eight seasons January 27, 1976, to May 10, 1983.

Shaker religious settlement, USA. Diagram of the south part of a village founded by the Shaker religious sect in Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA. The buildings are numbered and identified by function in the legend at right. Examples include the meeting house, workshops, schools, hospital, granary, barns, stables, blacksmith's forge, and an aqueduct (crooked line). The Shakers, religious dissenters, arrived in New York from England in 1774. They established more than twenty communities similar to this one, aiming to create settlements set apart from what they perceived as the chaos and disorder of American life. In the painting the ground is invisible and the tiger seems to float through the snow-filled air. The snow-covered bamboo fronds echo the claws of the tiger. His fur is rendered with wavy lines, a sinuous effect more in keeping with a snake or dragon. Ojibwe Native American petition. Artwork of the birch bark petition presented by Native Americans of the Ojibwe Tribe to US President Fillmore in 1849. The lines in the image unify the hearts and minds of the figures, confirming the authority of the delegation to speak for the Lake Superior Clans. The delegation is lead by Chief Buffalo of the Crane Clan. He is supported by a group of headmen represented by the totem of their clan: the catfish, man-fish, bear and three martens. Highland Cattle are a Scottish cattle breed. They are adapted to the cold weather and stay outside throughout the year. We have been raising these fluffy cows since 2007 on our farm in Finland.

Tammy ( the Little Doll Girl) has sewn western outfits for all and you can see that Tammy became sheriff of Coloma and made her friends deputies. Soon they will overcome dirty deeds and nasty tricks and clean up the town as only they can do.

Luckenbach Texas Post Office by Debra Martz Luckenbach, Texas is an unincorporated community just a 10 mile drive from the popular tourist town of Fredericksburg (which originated as a German community) in the Texas Hill Country. Luckenbach is known as a great venue for country music. It consists of 9.1 acres situated between 2 creeks. Its oldest building is a combination country general store and a saloon which opened in 1849. It is stated that the first name was Grape Creek but more than likely Gap Creek which comes from German ("lucken" meaning gap and "bach" meaning stream). I could see they were happy to see us flying overhead and decided to land in the center of the village. Chief Wanakuka and his wife, Lanacua ran down the balcony to greet us. They were amazed to see all of us flying upon Polly. She was a hit among the Kakuna and a large crowd gathered to admire her. Polly, of course, loved every minute of it. She did the turnaround and Polly became as large as ever. We hopped on Polly and flew high overhead and followed the road. We could see a quintet of bandits robbing the stage and running off with the strong box. We circled a few times as I wanted see where they were going.

The voting was closed and Judge Slade was busy counting the ballets on the boardwalk. A banjo player sat on a barrel and sang a song to a tiny gathering of children. "Mad Dog and Rattlesnake were the meanest deputies of the West. They carried no guns because they were quicker than the rest. They carried skillets and they would whack you on the head.
