Looking across the River Thames from the Thames Path in Buckinghamshire to the parish church of All Saints at Bisham in Berkshire. The church dates from the 12th century, the squat Norman tower being built around 1175. The buildings were extended over the following years, particularly by the Hoby family who lived in nearby Bisham Abbey. All Saints, Weybourne Number of views as of 9th June 2019 = 425. The 15th century church of All Saints (Weybourne, North Norfolk, England) shares its grounds with the remains of a 12th century Augustinian priory. That's not all however. The priory incorporated an earlier Saxon building, dating from the 10th or 11th century, and the remains of that church tower still stand (right of shot). Date: 12th August 2010. All Saints, Oxford Number of views as of 8th November 2017 = 700. In March 1700, the spire of the original All Saints church of Oxford, England (dating from 1122) collapsed, destroying most of the building. After an appeal for funds, the current building was completed in 1720. However in 1975, the church was deconsecrated and is now the library of Lincoln College. Date: 30th October 2010.

Looking across the River Thames from the Thames Path just upriver from Marlow, Buckinghamshire, to the parish church of All Saints at Bisham in Berkshire. This image, from my original photograph, is produced in the style of an oil painting. . The church has a superb late Norman tower which dates from about 1175 and is here seen framed by trees and reflected in the river. Nearby is Bisham Abbey, the National Sports Centre.

All Saints Church, Old Isleworth, August 2020 All Saints Church, Old Isleworth (West London, England) stands beside the River Thames as it has done for centuries. Under a yew tree in the grounds of the church, marked by a small memorial stone, lies a mass grave, a 'plague pit', where the local victims of the plague of 1665 were buried. A poignant reminder that coronavirus was not the first pandemic to strike England's capital. It is estimated that 10% or more of the city's population were wiped out by the plague. And some people are still moaning about having to wear face masks - get over yourselves!! Date: 1st August 2020.

All Saints, Brockhampton The somewhat unusual All Saints Church of Brockhampton can be found in the River Wye Valley, between the city of Hereford and the market town of Ross-on-Wye, in the county of Herefordshire, England. It is one of only a few churches in the country to have a thatched roof. The architect was William Lethaby and the building was completed in 1902. Even more remarkably, a replica of the church exists on the 21st and 22nd floors of a tower block in Japan's second city, Osaka. Apparently, many Japanese couples aspire to be wed in a European church. The floors below the replica house shops, offices and car parking, whilst on the same level there is a photographic studio and restaurant, and above it, to complete the 'pack...

A very different Georgian style church with medieval tower and a magnificent interior, the altar piece is a copy of the Da Vinci painting of the Last Supper. Only the 15th Century tower remains of the original medical church . Between 1734 and 1744 the main body of the church was rebuilt in the Georgian classical style. It was designed by Francis Smith of Warwick and greatly influenced by James Gibbs the designer of St Martins in the Fields in Trafalgar Square. Walking along the Thames Path between Marlow and Henley on Thames, the buildings of both the church and abbey can be seen only a short distance from Marlow.

This beautiful historic parish church of St Mary the Virgin and All Saints, Fotheringhay, Northamptonshire, UK, with its lantern tower. Fotheringhay was where Mary, Queen of Scots, was executed at the nearby Fotheringhay Castle.

The clouds were swirling above us as I just about got a couple of shots of the drama unfolding before the heavens opened. Bakewell is a market town and civil parish in the Derbyshire Dales district of Derbyshire, England, known also for its local Bakewell pudding. It lies on the River Wye, about 13 miles south-west of Sheffield. In the 2011 census, the population of the civil parish appeared as 3,949. It was estimated at 3,695 in 2019. The town is close to the tourist attractions of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.

Tumut River running well from the snow melts. This was taken on our journey to Melbourne on the ‎8 ‎October ‎2019 at ‏‎4:10 PM. After travelling through the drought stricken New South Wales countryside it was a pleasure to see some green. This bridge is now for foot traffic only.
