The Cromford Canal ran 14.5 miles (23.3 kilometres) from Cromford to the Erewash Canal in Derbyshire, England with a branch to Pinxton. Built by William Jessop with the assistance of Benjamin Outram, its alignment included four tunnels and 14 locks and was completed in 1794. Today, it is partially navigable and partially derelict. The parts that are still navigable are lovely to walk beside, and it is one of these sections that I have depicted here. This is a picture executed in Staedtler karat aquarell watercolour pencil on A3 vif Art watercolour paper.

Find a bargain at one of the UK's largest flea markets in this lovely city hidden in the Peak District of the UK. I converted this to black and white to accentuate the clouds and the dynamic range. Perfect for a jigsaw puzzle, print or apparel.

Chesterfield Town Centre, Derbyshire, UK Chesterfield is a market town and unparished area in the Borough of Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, 24 miles north of Derby and 11 miles south of Sheffield at the confluence of the River Rother and River Hipper. In 2011 the built-up-area subdivision had a population of 88,483, making it the second-largest settlement in Derbyshire, after Derby. The wider borough had a population of 103,801 in 2011. In 2011, the town had a population of 76,753. It has been traced to a transitory Roman fort of the 1st century CE. The name of the later Anglo-Saxon village comes from the Old English ceaster and feld. It has a sizeable street market three days a week.

This stunning little place is a Mecca for bikers on a weekend and Bank Holidays, so get there early. This will make a fantastic jigsaw puzzle for those wanting a challenge.
