Jackie Chan reunited onscreen with three of his childhood Chinese Drama School "brothers" one final time for the 1988 Lunar New Year hit DRAGONS FOREVER. Sammo Hung abley handles directing duties, Yuen Biao does his acrobatic martial arts flips and kicks against Billy Chow, and slim and slimey Yuen Wah is memorable in another great villian role (similar to his recent EASTERN CONDORS role). Benny "The Jet" Urquidez returns from WHEELS ON MEALS for a climatic rematch with Jackie. DRAGONS FOREVER remains, at this point and probably forever, the final "Three Brothers" film.

While in Melbourne recently, I was fortunate to meet an amazing man who inspired this painting. His name is Zaugustaz, and if you are a regular to the city you may even know him. He is a very colourful character and dresses accordingly. Zaugustaz is a beautiful person who loves you to stop and chat. He has a small suitcase with him, containing his paraphernalia of the day.... his art books, his memorabilia and his paintings, which he will proudly show to you. His main home is on the streets and he has been living this way for 50 years. When I met him I immediately thought of St Francis.

Tekahionwake was a stage name of Emily Pauline Johnson, a daughter of a Mohawk chief from Ontario and an English mother. She was a poet and performer, widely popular in Canada, United States, and Great Britain. Tekahionwake is considered one of the pioneers of Canadian literature.

Beautiful scene with farmland showing fields of golden wheat to the horizon. Blue sky and wispy clouds with lone tree for added interest. I've added a semi-sheer overlay behind the poem to make it more visible. This lovely poem is by Emily Pauline Johnson, and I felt this photo and poem went together hand in hand.
