KADI was an album rock station in St. Louis, Missouri throughout the 1970s and much of the 1980s and were the main competitor to longtime rock station KSHE. KADI's call letters reflected the last name of William Cady, the owner at the time the station went on the air in 1959.

The now defunct WKLS 96 Rock in Atlanta was the go-to place for PURE rock and roll! Homecookin' II (released in 1981) was the second of 4 albums of music by Atlanta area artists like Fortnox, Illusion, Dreamer, Billy the Kidd, Bert Elliot's Chances, The Sockets, Metalworks, Public Enemy, Frank Furter & the Human Beans, Buddy Causey & the Handsome White Boys, Heathen Girls and John Diazo & the Duplicators. This album was sold exclusively at Turtle's Records and Tapes.

The station first signed on in March 1967 as WREC-FM, sister to WREC 600 AM. In December 1975, the station went to an automated Country music format with the call letters WZXR. On September 25, 1977, the station switched to AOR. Except for a brief flirtation with Top 40 in 1985 and 1986, the station has played some form of rock ever since. Known as "Rock 103," WEGR has been consistently programmed with a classic rock format for more than 40 years. Its mascot is a walrus, which has seen numerous incarnations. The "rock" in this logo is the same as WKLS Atlanta's 96 Rock logo.
