We've been seeing a LOT of newspeak and doubethink from the current administration in the United States lately, so this came to mind.

George Orwell, born Eric Blair in India in 1903, was an English novelist, essayist, journalist, and critic. He is known for his visionary works such as Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-four, as well as his non-fiction classics Down and Out in Paris in London, The Road to Wigan Pier, and Homage to Catalonia.

His powerful antiutopian novel explores the dangers of Totalitarian rule which many believe is still relevant today under different governments across Europe such as Francisco Franco's Spain or Italy’s Mussolini regime during the World War II era. In addition to this work is highly acclaimed internationally it also had a great impact on society both domestically here in America where certain policies were influenced by what he wrote about; namely " Telescene" a term taken from cart before We Go Into hauled oxen - There Must Be Some Cows
