Pontiac was an American automobile brand introduced as a companion make for GM's more expensive line of Oakland automobiles in 1925, but Pontiac overtook Oakland in popularity and supplanted its parent brand entirely by 1933. From Chieftons to Bonnevilles and Tempests to Trans Ams, Pontiac's models were always an exciting mix of performance and style which gave them an unmistakable brand identity that was often envied by her sister divisions. This design leverages logomark elements from several key eras in the division's history, making it somewhat of a Pontiac resto-mod hybrid.

An iconic car for every man

The existence of Belle Glade is due to the federal project of draining the land around Lake Okeechobee in Florida so that the acreage could be used for agriculture. The rich soil which was previously submerged was mucky, so the town (and much of the surrounding area) became known by the nickname Muck City. The town, which included the Golden Eagle Bar, was built in 1925 and subsequently destroyed three years later by a hurricane which killed thousands of people. The small town was subsequently rebuilt, including the Golden Eagle, which continued to serve the local population along with the many agricultural workers for decades into the future.

Used car lots have always had some reputational issues to deal with, even back in the early days of the automobile. While certified used cars are quite common today, the 'OK Used Cars' program was Detroit's attempt at combatting negative opinions about buying a used car by creating the first certification program. 'OK Used Cars' had completed a series of tests before being certified, including a thorough inspection, complete servicing, and several points of reconditioning. The certified vehicles would be added to the lot with a warranty included, something that was previously unheard of with a used car. The program was a success, and would grow and evolve, but by the '50s, the 'OK Used Cars' sign could be found at car lots in everywhere.

Vintage boxing glove patent drawing from 1925. Boxing gloves are cushioned gloves that fighters wear on their hands during boxing matches and practices. Unlike the ancient cestus which were designed as a weapon, modern boxing gloves are designed to protect the fighter's hand during a bout, though competitions, sparring and other forms of training have their own specialized gloves.

Founded in 1925 with a single Model T truck, Central Freight Lines was a less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier based in Waco, Texas. Its founder, W.W. “Woody” Callan, Sr., launched the company as Central Forwarding and Warehouse Company. He started out transporting goods between Dallas and Waco with that single vehicle, and 96 years later, Central had over 5,000 tractors, trailers, and delivery trucks, with 80 terminals from Miami to Los Angeles. 

The giants have a rich history and a passionate fan base.

A digital drawing depicting the steam locomotive Flying Scotsman as it would have been seen Circa 1925. The locomotive was built in 1923, numbered 1472 and had no name. It was renumbered 4472 and given the name "Flying Scotsman" just before it represented LNER as its flagship locomotive at the British Empire Exhibition, at Wembley Park in 1924. It represented LNER again at the 1925 exhibition and this artwork depicts Flying Scotsman as it would have appeared, with its number on the low sided tender and the LNER crest on the cab.

He was born on March 28, 1868, in Solothurn, Switzerland, and died on July 6, 1961, in Oschwand. Amiet's artistic style evolved over time, encompassing various movements such as Post-Impressionism, Fauvism, and Expressionism.
