Whillian Beck runs over the the Eskdale Moor of the western Lake District in the county of Cumbria, England coming from the surrounding Scafell mountain range and the Bournmoor Tarn, where it runs alongside The Coffin Route. Looking past the small wooden bridge, the Scafell range begins to appear on the right and, in the distance Wasdale Head, with Yewbarrow visible. The image was taken with a thirty second exposure, to make the most of the clouds and fast running water. Canon 5D Mk3 24 - 105 L series lens.

Wastwater is one of the most Westerly and deepest lakes in the Lake district. In Autumn Wastwater is a breath-taking symphony of nature's colours.
