Chesterfield Square is a neighborhood full of charming if modest Crafstman homes -- one of which belonged to famed special effects man, Ray Harryhausen. It's also the birthplace of Good Fred Oil and home to Antique Stove Heaven. Unfortunately, Chesterfield Square also consistently has the highest violent crime rate in Los Angeles. In 1990, it was where the film, Boyz N the Hood was shot. West Adams, historically, refers to a sub-region of Los Angeles centered along West Adams Boulevard. Today, it also refers to a newer neighborhood of South Los Angeles, also bisected by West Adams. Thus, this map is distinguished as "Historic West Adams."

Compton is a city in the South Los Angeles region. It is the 7th oldest (by incorporation) and 16th most-populous in Los Angeles County. Future presidents George H.W. and George W. lived there in 1949 and '50. It is famous for the Compton Cowboys of Richland Farms and the Compton Cricket Club, among other things. South Pasadena is a small suburban city located, naturally, to the south of Pasadena. It, however improbably, retains and exudes a rather small-town feel which leads to its often portraying small towns in the Midwest on television and in film. With this image, we celebrate Uruguayan poet Susana Soca.

The neighborhood is bordered by Rockford Hills to the north, Downtown and Strawberry to the east, Vespucci to the west and La Puerta to the south. Little Seoul is a South Korean-influenced neighborhood, even though the Los Santos Triads have some territory in the area. Asian companies, such as Kayton and WIWANG, are headquartered here, and there are also many smaller Korean businesses and shops present, ranging from grocery stores to internet cafés to even a branch of 24-7 with a sign written in Hangul (Korean alphabet).

Manchester Square is a neighborhood in South Los Angeles's Westside. It was home of the notorious Monster Cody and Grim Sleeper. On a lighter note, it's also home to Art's Chili Dog, established in 1939 and said by some to be the birthplace of the chili dog.

It all went down on a Friday in South Central L.A... The whole squad was there... Craig & Smokey & Felisha & Deebo Awwww yeah! Those were the days... Until someone got knocked the f**k out!
