Artrage Tapestries

I created this illustration "Pretty Lady" digitally on my computer. No real paint or brushes were used. Software apps Photoshop & ArtRage 6 as well as my Wacom tablet & pen.

I've been busy with my digital photography, I must have taken over 5,000 photos last spring, summer and fall. Not all of them keeps but I do shot in RAW meaning any keepers I have to process, so it is very time consuming. I thought I would give Lightroom & Photoshop a night off. So I fired up my old friend Artrage only to find out there is an update....YAY... Grobo-car - My vision of a hot rod of the future powered by a clean energy source and has dual wheels in the rear, making it a 6 wheel vehicle. A car which has performance and energy efficient. I created the car in Groboto which is a 3D modeling application. I then brought the base render into Artrage 4.5 where I painted over the image and applied a gradient. I used Photoshop ...

Frank Frazetta is one of my most favorite artists of all time. And my favorite painting is Rembrandt's "Man With the Golden Helmet". I often wondered what the painting would have looked like if Frazetta painted it. Well here is my feeble attempt. I created this 100% digitally.

An old abandoned fishing dory lays decaying on the rocks of Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia. I created the illustration digitally using Photoshop CC 2021, ArtRage 6 & my trusty Wacom Intous 3 tablet & Windows 10 computer.

On Christmas Eve of yesteryear, a father drives his Model A Ford home from work, stopping along the country road to forage for a suitable Christmas tree. A young lad in the company of his companion dog, pulls his sled homeward with a cargo of a freshly cut fir tree.

Focussed on the blooming Christmas Cactus inside, while outside is all white with snow.

Mediterranean of my mind. A place where the seekers scheme future plans of success. Dreamers dwell on how things should be. Lovers loose track of time as they gaze dreamy like into the eyes of love interests. The loners experience solitude in a crowd damning their pride, remembering how they allowed romance to elude them.

This is the original of the two chive paintings. after I finished this, I realized that the flowers were not purple which the real life chive flowers were, so I added purple to the painting. Love both versions...

Orchid A still life. Created on my iPad using artRage. It's been cloudy, cool, and wet. I was thinking of mom. The desk, owl and pot were hers. The orchid a gift from Muscular Dystrophy Canada. I painted it last year too. Love the orchid. My friend Paige names her orchids. I'm naming this one Lois:)

It was a rainy week, and I was indoors for most of it, and tried something different. The flowers are day lilies. The background is from an artist trading card I made in 2009 on photoshop. It resurfaced as a Facebook memory from my twitwall; which was a blog by Twitter that is inactive. I brought it into artrage and used the palate knife to reshape. Wonderful experience. Didn't know what to name this piece, so am using the comment made by my artist friend Ken Cox on our 52 times, Facebook group.

Our friend Sally dropped off these lovely tulips on a cold wintery day. Was just what I needed to paint and to think of spring on it's way.
