The rainbow gay pride flag, originally designed by Gilbert Baker, has become a cultural phenomenon representing the LGBT community. Each stripe color represents an aspect of humanity: sex, life, healing, sunlight, nature, magic/art, serenity, and spirit. This contains the original eight colors, rather then the six more commonly seen today.
A subtle minimalistic rainbow gay pride flag, each stripe color represents an aspect of humanity: red life, orange healing, yellow sunlight, green nature, blue harmony, and purple spirit.

The women's suffrage movement was a decades-long fight to win the right to vote for women in the United States. It took activists and reformers nearly 100 years to win that right.

A traditional lesbian labrys flag stylized with a symbolic female reproductive system. I was inspired to create this after homophobes kept shaming my lesbian group for talking about female anatomy.

This is a modified version of the lesbian flag originally created by Sean Campbell. Here, the labrys has been stylized with a symbolic female reproductive system. The upper lines in the blades are the fallopian tubes, below that are the ovaries, between them are the uterus and cervix, and the handle is the vagina. This design is my gift to the lesbian community. It does not represent any private individuals or organizations, and it has been dedicated to the public domain for personal and commercial use. The lavender rhino was used as a gay rights symbol in Boston in the 1970’s. The rhino was chosen due to it being a gentle and misunderstood creature that fights ferociously when angered, and the heart represents love and the common humanity of all people. The original symbol lives on in the public domain as a historical symbol, and I put my own twist on it here.

This is a labrys, outlined by a soaring bird, emerging from a waxing moon. The labrys is an old symbol representing lesbian and feminist strength. The moon, shown here in it’s growing phase, is often associated with a woman’s menstrual cycle. The bird could represent freedom, but for the most part it just looks cool.
